Aims
To explore the transformative role of digital health and artificial intelligence (AI) in family medicine by creating a collaboration platform for young family physicians, enabling them to interact with emerging technologies, participate in interdisciplinary joint meetings and research, actively participate in events through workshops and lectures, and contribute to shaping the future of primary care.
Objectives
- Create a network of young family doctors interested in digital health and AI.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and foster a learning community through online and in-person platforms.
- Share research findings, academic articles, and educational opportunities with members.
- Promote awareness of the benefits and challenges of AI in family medicine.
- Increase digital health literacy among healthcare professionals and the public.
- Support members in writing research proposals and presenting at relevant conferences (WONCA, EYFDM, etc.).
- Maintain active connections with related SIGs and international working parties to foster inter-group collaboration.

Resources
We have prepared a short Google Form to collect insights from SIG members about their interest in AI in medicine, current knowledge, and expectations.
📄 Member Input FormCurrent resources include webinar outlines, educational slide decks, and literature collections, which will be curated and uploaded to the SIG’s public page when finalized.
Ongoing projects
We are working on a project exploring integrating artificial intelligence into family medicine education. The literature review phase is underway and expected to be finalized soon. Based on this, we plan to launch a Delphi study to gather expert consensus on core curriculum components. A related workshop will be held at the WONCA World Conference 2025, where we aim to present preliminary findings and gather wider input from the global family medicine community.
Collaborative Webinars: Upcoming joint webinars are being planned in collaboration with the WONCA Working Party on eHealth and the Working Party on Quality and Safety.
Development of a shared library that includes guidelines, slide decks, webinars, and recommended readings in digital health and AI for family physicians.
