We invite eligible candidates to apply, by sending the following documents to secretary@eyfdm.eu by 4th July 2023. 

Documents needed:
○ Curriculum Vitae 
○ Motivational Letter 
○ Proof of membership of their NMO  
○ Proof of young doctor status 
○ An essential letter of recommendation from their National Delegate if the  candidate is not themselves a National Delegate, or from their NEC if the  candidate is a National Delegate themselves and their country has a NEC.  
○ Up to three desirable letters of recommendation: 
■ From their NMO 
■ A maximum of two letters from other EYFDM members

You will also need to record a 3 minute video presentation to be circulated to council detailing some of your background and why you would be good in the role (usually this would be done live at a council meeting but as this is an online election we would need this recorded in advance and submitted alongside your application). Voting will be done electronically – details and deadlines for voting procedure will be clarified soon.

Role description 
The Finance Committee has the responsibility to check the financial administration that is done by the Treasurer. They check the receipts, reimbursement forms, financial report of the previous year and proposed budget of the upcoming year for mistakes. Now that we are independent legal body, it is important that the EYFDM has a Finance Committee to help in the professionalisation of our organisation. 

Committee composition and duration of term 
The committee will consist of three members – the EYFDM Treasurer and two other active EYFDM members. Aside from the Treasurer, the committee is selected during Council Meeting. The members will serve for a 2 year term, however should they be available for only one year, their nomination would still be considered. 

Time investment 
Being a member of the Finance Committee is an important but not very time-consuming role. Once a year the Finance Committee will receive all the financial documents from the Treasurer to be checked. Based on the feedback the Treasurer will make adjustments, and will then present the financial report to the Council Members during the Council meeting.

Nominations
A person can nominate themselves, or can be nominated by another EYFDM Member, in which case the nominee will be asked if they wish to accept the nomination, and to provide proof of young doctor status if they wish to accept the nomination. 
Nominations can be made by providing the name of the nominee by midnight on 6th May 2023.
